About
I am a builder and independent researcher based in New Delhi, India, interested in how technology shapes public life and how complex systems can become more legible, useful, and accountable.
Much of my current work explores the potential for advanced AI in government: helping people and institutions make better decisions while protecting against misuse, concentrated power, and failures of oversight. This connects my interests in AI safety, governance, and better futures.
I came to these questions through CitizenView, a civic-tech platform I built that renders Indian legislation into plain language for roughly 400 users. Building it surfaced the responsibilities involved in using AI in sensitive civic work and led me toward AI safety research.
I'm currently working on a fieldbuilding project under the Better Futures fellowship
Projects
Independently arrived at the hypothesis that sigmoid scaling curves and apparent capability ceilings are measurement artifacts — built a simulation separating reward smoothing from difficulty spread, then found this aligns with established work (Schaeffer et al., 2023) showing emergent abilities are a mirage of metric choice.
